At Lucion, we support large-scale highways schemes with a fully integrated approach, combining asbestos surveys, structural investigations, utilities mapping, topographical data, and ecological insight. Itâs complex work â and it relies on strong project leadership to make sure everything aligns.
Weâre now looking for a Major Schemes Project Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid role, with time spent on site, with clients, across Lucion offices, and regularly in Rotherham. Itâs suited to someone who understands infrastructure projects, thrives on coordination, and takes pride in delivering complex work clearly and professionally.
đ What Youâll Be Doing (And Why It Matters)
This is a hands-on, client-facing role where organisation, communication, and leadership are essential.
Youâll:
⢠Manage and deliver large, multi-disciplinary highways surveys
 ⢠Oversee projects involving asbestos, structural investigations, topographical surveys, PAS 128 utilities, and ecology
 ⢠Work closely with clients to shape briefs, proposals, and project scope
 ⢠Coordinate multiple business units across the Lucion Group to ensure smooth delivery
 ⢠Plan site activities around client-provided traffic management
 ⢠Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and clear communication
 ⢠Support and guide internal teams to meet the specific demands of highways projects
 ⢠Step into survey duties on major schemes where required
In short: bringing structure, clarity, and control to complex projects with multiple moving parts.
đą About You (Technical, Organised, Solutions-Focused)
You understand that large-scale projects rely on coordination, communication, and practical decision-making.
Youâll likely:
⢠Hold BOHS P402 (or equivalent)
⢠Have experience in the construction or infrastructure sector
⢠Understand National Highways requirements
 ⢠Be familiar with multiple survey disciplines and how they work together
 ⢠Have strong knowledge of asbestos regulations, HSE guidance, and quality processes
 ⢠Be confident managing clients, expectations, and competing priorities
 ⢠Communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
 ⢠Take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery
Useful extras (not essential):
⢠Construction-related degree or HND
 ⢠Contractual awareness (training provided)
 ⢠Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams
