Job Introduction

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Lead to join our growing Bristol office and lead our team in delivering high-quality projects across a variety of sectors.
Role Responsibility
- Leading geotechnical investigations and providing technical expertise on site characterization, foundation design, earthworks, and slope stability.
- Managing complex projects from inception through to completion, ensuring technical excellence, budget control, and timely delivery.
- Mentoring and developing junior team members, providing guidance and training on geotechnical best practices.
- Liaising with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Contributing to business development by identifying new opportunities and supporting bids and proposals.
- Reviewing technical reports, designs, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
The Ideal Candidate
- A degree in Geology or a related discipline.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in geotechnical engineering and consultancy.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering successful projects.
- Experience in foundation design, ground improvement, soil and rock mechanics, and geotechnical analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (e.g., CGeol, CEng) is desirable.
