Role

The Technical Consultant looks after the provision of consultancy services across the Group at a fee earning capacity.  This would primarily relate to the asbestos services we provide but it would also include other aspects of hazardous materials management. 

 

The Duties of the Technical Consultant consist of:


    • Responsible for own workload, financials, clients, business development, market opportunities, sales pipeline 
    • Supporting tenders, marketing and commercial teams 
    • Monitoring and reporting own sales revenue, turnover, costs 
    • Coordinating subcontractors 
    • Effective use of technologies and processes including NexGen, Scheduler, timeline, contract management, invoicing, forecasting, document storage etc.) and other business processes & procedures 
    • Attend all planned training to develop relevant knowledge and skills. Use all possible endeavours to consistently, competently, and diligently apply such knowledge and skills
    • Ensuring that the company's systems (CRM, NexGen) are well administered and kept up to date. 
    • Deliver external asbestos training both virtually and throughout Lucion and client locations/facilities.
    • Preparing a weekly report of activity undertaken in a weekly meeting. 
    • Ensuring that all client requests are dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring all work quoted is profitable and does not expose the business to unconsidered commercial risks 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Combinations of the following vocational qualifications: BOHS P401, P402, P403, P404, P405, P406, P407, S301, W504 or CocA (Asbestos)  
  • A solid understanding of UK asbestos guidance and regulations 
  • Able to work under own initiative and able to self-manage tasks whilst prioritizing workloads to achieve deadlines 
  • Demonstrates managerial judgement, provides leadership and showing integrity at all times 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • IT literate  
  • A UK driving license (preferably clean)
