Senior Operations Manager (Asbestos)

Job Introduction

Here at Lucion, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to join our South Asbestos team. This is a hybrid role where your nearest local office is likely to be our Gatwick facility. We are looking to offer the successful candidate a basic salary of between £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.  

 

More About the Role:  

  • Oversee the performance, development, and well-being of the operations and asbestos site team, including recruitment, training, appraisals, and HR matters.
  • Ensure that all operations align with regulatory and company compliance standards, conducting audits and investigations, as necessary.
  • Ensure the right staff are being assigned to the right jobs with the required skills, balancing operational workload
  • Monitor P&L, invoicing, WIP, and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Mentor the regional operations team into becoming the Senior Operations Managers of the future. Regular check-ins and guidance will be required to promote excellent teamwork, progression and learning opportunities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for client queries, internal stakeholders, and project management discussions.

 

More About You:  

  • Strong background in operations management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and financial oversight 
  • Experience of working as an asbestos analyst or surveyor and understanding the site-based activities would be a strong advantage 
  • Industry competence qualification(s) such as BOHS P405 or CCP 
  • Demonstrable experience of managing the cost of effective delivery (Gross Profit) and delivery of company revenue targets including P&L management 
  • Proven experience in team leadership and staff management, including recruitment, appraisals, and HR matters
