Our Geo-Environmental Division provides site investigation services, land quality assessments, and technical guidance to help reduce uncertainty and support informed decision-making.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our Bristol team. This is a key role for someone with around 5 years of consultancy experience, who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, reporting, and project management responsibilities.

You’ll contribute to the delivery of a wide range of contaminated land and ground risk projects and play an important role in mentoring more junior colleagues as part of a supportive, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Plan and deliver site investigations and environmental monitoring

  • Lead field-based elements of Phase 1, 2 and 3 assessments

  • Prepare and review high-quality factual and interpretive reports

  • Assess laboratory data and develop conceptual site models

  • Support project management activities including budgets, schedules, and client communication

  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and subconsultants as needed

  • Assist with proposal writing and fee estimations

  • Maintain high standards of health and safety

  • Support the development of junior team members through on-the-job learning


About You

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline

  • Around 5 years’ experience in geo-environmental consultancy

  • Strong technical knowledge of contaminated land risk assessment and UK guidance (e.g. CLR11, LCRM)

  • Confident in scoping, managing, and delivering Phase 2 site investigations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work collaboratively and independently, contributing to team culture

  • Some experience in project coordination or management

  • Full UK driving licence
