CAD Technician

Job Introduction

We are currently looking for an experienced & highly motivated CAD Technician  to come and join our team at Lucion Survey (Landform) Ltd! This is a largely office based role however will be expected to visit site when required to undertake point cloud surveys and measured building surveys. We are offering a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000. 

Role Responsibility

  • Produce CAD plans in the as-built environment, including floor plans, sections, elevations, roof plans.
  • Produce and assist to produce 3D Revit models in the as-built environment.
  • Produce 3D point clouds.
  • Although role to be largely office based - visit site when required to undertake point cloud surveys and measured building surveys.
  • Hybrid working possibilities, experience dependant.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Competently produce and assist to produce CAD plans in the as-built environment, including floor plans, sections, elevations.
  • Strong understanding of 3D laser scanning purpose and use
  • Good knowledge of scan data processing (FARO Scene preferable)
  • Experience producing as built 3D models within Autodesk Revit
  • Understanding of Level of Details within BIM
  • Ability to collaborate successfully on large projects, working as a team member and individually.
  • Interest in the construction industry and surveying experience
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Be forward thinking with new technologies and techniques.
  • Experience in topographical surveying and survey control
  • Over 2 years CAD experience
  • Over 2 years Revit experience
  • Experience producing point clouds (full process)
  • Desire to be present in working office
  • Desire to visit site if required around the UK
  • Ability to carry out measured surveys (measured building and topographical)
