We are seeking a motivated and experienced Associate to lead our Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental team in Bristol. In this role, you will lead complex geotechnical and geo-environmental projects, providing expert consultancy services to our clients. Your work will involve site investigations, risk assessments, and the development of practical solutions for a range of environmental and engineering challenges.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead and manage geotechnical and geo-environmental projects from inception to completion.
  • Conduct site investigations, including soil sampling, ground testing, and data analysis.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive risk assessments and remediation strategies.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy, with a strong track record of managing complex projects.
  • Chartered status with a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software and data interpretation tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to project management.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel as required.
