Job Introduction
We are looking for an ambitious, experienced and motivated Arboriculture Consultant to lead our consultancy services, working on a range of project types.
The role offers an exciting opportunity for a consultant looking to progress their career, as it presents the opportunity to grow an arboricultural team as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, whilst working closely with, and supported by, our ecologists and GIS team
Role Responsibility
You will be working with experienced ecologists on, and be trained in, the following:
- Preliminary ecological appraisals and habitat mapping
- Bat dawn and dusk surveys
- Great crested newt surveys
- Water vole surveys
- Badger surveys
- Ecological Clerk of Works on development sites
The Ideal Candidate
- Have appropriate relevant experience – either working towards a related degree (in ecology, conservation, environmental management/science, conservation or these in combination with other areas)
- OR other relevant experience within the environmental field e.g. previous work placement or related voluntary work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- IT literate
- Organised and effective time management
- Full clean driving licence
- Willingness to travel and flexibility in working hours required to accommodate different survey requirements
- Working knowledge of GIS (Desirable)
